Appraisal Foundation Seeks Applicants for its Independent Boards, AQB & ASBThe Appraisal Foundation recently announced that it has begun its search for qualified candidates to serve on its Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) and Appraisal Standards Board (ASB).

In particular, the AQB is responsible for establishing the minimum qualification criteria for obtaining a real estate appraiser license or certification and sets the minimum requirements for maintaining a state credential. The ASB is responsible for developing, interpreting, and amending USPAP.

According to the Foundation’s press release, those that wish to serve on its AQB must be familiar with the current appraiser qualifications and have no less than 10 years of appraisal experience. Likewise, those that wish to serve on its ASB must be familiar with USPAP and have no less than 10 years of appraisal experience. The selected candidates will serve initial terms of one-to-three years beginning January 1, 2020.
