The 2013 Appraisal Summit and Expo is slated to take place this week in fabulous Las Vegas, and will feature Global DMS’ own Matt McHale as a keynote speaker. Mr. McHale is scheduled to speak on Thursday, October 31st from 2:10pm – 2:45pm, and will discuss the positive impacts of emerging technologies in the appraisal industry.
His presentation—which is titled Are Emerging Technologies for Real Estate Valuation Good or Bad? Yes—will specifically highlight the emergence of mobile technologies, as well as the continued advancement of enterprise level Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. These technologies have proven to be sufficient tools for appraisal professionals, and allow them to efficiently manage their day-to-day operations in a compliant and cost-effective manner – yet many individuals throughout the industry still question their true integrity.
Matt will use Global DMS’ eTrac® platform, and its various applications, as an example of how a robust SaaS technology can optimize one’s appraisal business, while keeping it in full compliance with all state and federal regulations and mandates. He will also use the company’s new mobile app, eTrac Appraisal Tracking on Mobile (ATOM)—which is scheduled to be released later this year—to show the many benefits of what a dynamic appraiser-specific mobile application can do for those who are constantly out in the field – order management, inspection scheduling, status updating, etc.
